2019 Ram 2500 & 3500 Bring Heavy-Duty Updates to Upstate NY!

Debuting at the North American International Auto Show is the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty truck lineup! Both the 2019 Ram 2500 and 2019 Ram 3500 will come to the Mid Hudson Valley NY with a redesigned look, reengineered capability and a load of top-notch features previously never seen in these models before.

For starters, the hauling power of these trucks increase exponentially. Between the increased maximum payload capacity of 7,680 lbs and maximum towing capacity of 35,100 lbs, these trucks are made to handle any job on and off the road.

And powering it under the hood are a choice of 3 enhanced engines:

• 6.4L HEMI V8 paired with TorqueFlite 8HP75 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering 410 hp and 429 lb/ft of torque Cummins
• 6.7L Turbo Diesel paired with upgraded 68RFE 6-speed automatic transmission, producing 370 hp & 850 lb/ft of torque Cummins
• 6.7L high-output Turbo Diesel paired with Aisin AS69RC 6-speed automatic transmission, upping the ante to 400 hp and an unprecedented 1,000 lb/ft of torque

2019 Ram Heavy Duty Performance

There are several engineering enhancements made to the all-new Ram Heavy Duty truck lineup that help deliver the pickup performance you’re looking for. For starters, there’s a new braking system with upgraded calipers, booster & master cylinder to help bring you and your cargo to a stop even more smoothly.

All-new frames make up the foundation of these trucks and are built with 98.5% high-strength steel, 6 separate crossmembers, hydroformed main rails & fully boxed rear rails. Other body elements have been upgraded to high-strength steel as well to ensure your biggest cargo loads can be handled for work or play. And the suspension offers on these trucks are built that way as well, including:

• Frequency Response Damping (FRD) shocks
• Available Active-Level rear air suspension with a bed-lowering mode
• Hotchkiss rear leaf-spring system with optional air suspension for the 2019 Ram 3500
• New 2-piece front-suspension crossmember structure

The distinctive 2019 Ram 2500 Power Wagon models coming to our dealership serving Milton NY now add a couple of new features, the first being a 360 camera that gives you forward-view camera gridlines to help avoid obstacles. The second is all-new integrated front-mounted WARN Zeon-12 winch with enhanced maneuverability and the abilities to not fray or kink thanks to a unique fairlead & fairlead retainer.

More than 100 safety & security features are available on both the 2019 Ram 2500 & Ram 3500 and the aforementioned 360-degree camera display is just one of them. Another one that’s new for 2019 is automatic emergency braking that knows when your truck will be approaching the vehicle in front of you too quickly and will apply the brakes to help prevent a collision.

2019 Ram Heavy Duty Design

The exterior of the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty truck lineup have been redesigned to give you a more modern look & feel. Each trim offers specific interlocking design cues to match its unique style, which comes from combining different elements to blend seamlessly with each other.

There are 6 different grille styles available that don't resemble the historic crosshairs look at all, along with a new front bumper that has larger opening for greater airflow. Halogen, full LED/reflector and full LED projector headlamps are offered up front as well, with the latter providing the adaptive front-lighting system to help you see better when turning.

Other new and returning exterior design cues include:

• Drawn body-side character line flowing from the front fender to the cab doors
• Interlocking side-step designed with deep tread patterns & the RAM logo
• RamBox cargo management system with weatherproof, lockable, illuminated & drainable storage bins
• 115-volt power outlet in the RamBox to let you plug in devices for getting the job done
